Our Story
Blossom and Grow Wellness Center was created in 2020 to help women who feel stagnant continue to grow and develop into the women they aspire to be. We were initially created to only treat perinatal mood disorders but we have now expanded to treat women, period. That means we are here to help women with whatever they are going through. That includes new motherhood, divorce, career issues, depression, anxiety and more!

Ashley Kansinally, LCSW-C
Owner & Therapist
I was born in New York and raised by Trinidadian and Guyanese parents. I have 12 years of experience in the mental health field, a certificate of completion in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and have completed substantial training in trauma-informed care and CBT.
I have decided to dedicate my therapy work to focusing on perinatal mood disorders (postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and more) and strictly working with women because the stigmas that exist make it difficult for us to access the care we need and we need support too.
I am a yoga and group fitness instructor, self-care advocate, frequent meditator and novice gardener.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would because Ashley is such an amazing person and I am so happy to be one of her clients! From the beginning she has always showed up for me and knowing that I have someone I can 100% open up to and trust makes our sessions much more meaningful. I appreciate that she takes time in helping me set goals and find ways to better myself. thank you for always making every moment worth it, thank you for giving me all the advice and encouragement I never knew I needed to help me get through life much more easier.

Miss Ashley Is the best therapist I can ever have. She has taught me so much about myself she had taught me how to understand myself. Also how to control my depression which I had for so many years that I could not say that things that happened in the past trigger it. She is the best and I really appreciate her service. She does not make you feel like you’re nothing she actually make you feel like you understood. I will really recommend her to anybody.

Before meeting Ashley, I did not know that a mental health practitioner can specialize in perinatal health. Needless to say, after countless days of researching for a therapist while I was about 8 weeks pregnant, I finally came across Ashley and I am very relieved I did. Moreover, having a therapist I can relate to in many ways was important to me, as well. Meeting with Ashely on a regular basis during pregnancy and postpartum has given me the tools to mentally prepare for the new life ahead of me as a first- time mother and to focus on my priorities. I think it has even helped prevent me from going into deep PPD as well. I (and others) have also witnessed a dramatic change in my thought patterns, my goals, desires, and the way I view life. I think that every woman should seek therapy during pregnancy and beyond so that they, too may witness a transformation in their life. If you are in Maryland, you should definitely seek out Ashley. Remember, healthy momma, healthy baby.
